Bangladeshi Job Seekers Must Do

Are you a job seeker? If the answer is yes then the next question is what kind of job you are looking for?
Most of the cases fresh graduates don’t know what kind of job they are looking for. It is not aberrant that the fresh graduates aren’t absolutely sure about their future career. Our education system is like that, it is not focusing on the career of the students. Our Education system isn’t producing skilled industry-oriented workforce rather producing only certificate holders. If one single question asked to you that “Tell us about yourself?” what should be your answer. Does that ring a bell, do you know about yourself. The employer always ask questions like
 Why should we hire you?
What are you best at?
What are your negative points?
How much salary do you deserve?
These questions are really legitimate questions. And the job seekers must master the answer of these questions.
In Bangladesh youth dependency is 44.9%, measuring almost half of the young people are dependent. It is a red alert for the sustainable development. In another statistics, the unemployment rate is 10.9 percent. A country like Bangladesh where for a job vacancy there is numerous candidate, the competition will be very much stiff. Everyone is trying his or her level best for a job. Moreover, the quota system will affect you like thunder. If I have to draw an example I would like to tell you that the most prestigious job sector which is Bangladesh Cadre Service, has 55% vacancies are saved for the quota owner.
In this circumstance, general job seekers need to express them uniquely so that they will be selected for sure. To be unique what you need is a special set of employability skills. What makes you employable or what things you can do best, is the prime question needed to be answered. Let’s see the special job skills you need for your dream job.
·        Analytical ability
·        Interpersonal Skill
·        Stress Management
·        Preparing project Report
·        Presentation Skill
·        Public Speaking
A job seeker must have these above skills to get his or her dream job. If you can master these job skills you will be the Candidate for the job.
The employer also demands some skills such as:
·        Gratitude Skills
·        Time Management
·        Networking Skills
·        Ownership Development
·        Leadership Skill
These Five skills are the prime skills that every employer demand because these skills will make you an asset to the company and be having these skills you will earn a profit for the organization.

Now here is another question for you, Are you Smart?
 If you think a clean shaved tall well figured suited booted human being is smart, then you are absolutely wrong. Because the letter of the word SMART means:
S = Specific
M = Measurable
A = Attainable
R = Realistic
T = Time-Bounded
Are you specific about your career?
 Is it measurable?
Is it attainable?
 Does your aim realistic with your capability?
Is your aim time bounded?
Just answer these question, write it down in your notebook or personal diary. If you have done it then you have achieved 50% of your target. Now what you need is to work carefully towards your target. Don’t waste your time doing unnecessary things. Keep in mind whatever you will do; it should be only to fulfill your target. Time is the precious thing in our life you need to use it as effectively as you can.

Technical Education Can Change the Fate of the Girl

Every year we gorgeously celebrate Women’s Day. But have we ever thought why the participation of women in the workplace has fallen from 36 percent to 33 percent between 2010 and 2013. We all are talking high when we are giving a speech or writing an editorial in the newspaper but at the end of the day, we are doing nothing. Have we ever thought how this situation will change? Or why the younger generation especially the women are becoming hopeless day by day?

It is an inevitable consequence for the women in our country, because of the fact that conventional education cannot provide jobs for everyone. And we have a huge flow of fresh blood in the job sector.

In this crucial time of Bangladesh when we are trying to achieve SDG, we have to make sure the empowerment of women in every sector. Sectors like mechanical engineering, civil engineering or this kind of profession, where the participation of women is very rare. Just think about the fact that have we ever came across a female contractor or a female carpenter or a female CNG driver. Yes, we are lacking in this sector severely. And Government is trying to improve the technical side of the education system of Bangladesh .But well-trained teachers, well-equipped institutions, and well-equipped lab are lacking. And that is why as a whole the education system of Bangladesh is going into a hollow.

Now to improve this situation we need to think thoroughly and act as soon as possible .Otherwise, we will be in a situation like Pakistan or Greece, where Pakistan is lacking in the sector of education for women and Greece is lacking for the younger people.

In this circumstance, Technical education can save Bangladesh and give the younger women of Bangladesh a new hope. For that, we need to change our thinking about Technical Education and give proper support to this sector.

Employer needs -------Employability Skills

“There is no job available for me. Everywhere you need  “mamas” or” khalus”  to get a job.  Without a recommendation, no one can get a job.”
We always hear this kind of hopeless vagabond talk from our young generation .But we never thought what an employer thinks when he or she is recruiting for his or her company. The employer will not recruit a person who will be a burden in nearer future for the company. The employer always wants to recruit someone who will be an asset to the company, who will take the company to the apex of success .Who has the ability of leadership and with his leadership skill he will lead the company in the new horizon .The employer wants ownership quality to be dependable. Good communication skill to maintain a soothing relationship with the client is another skill which an employer look for in an employee. To present the goods or the products of the company whether it is a virtual product or a physical product, an employer needs an employee, who is a master of presentation skill.
In today’s age everybody needs to be a champion in using IT. Without the proper knowledge of using IT, nobody can dream of a progressive career. Along with IT skill, an employee needs to have the creativity to complete his task in a more efficient way.
An employee has to be enough confident to take initiative for the betterment of the company. He has to have the quality of collaboration to achieve his target. Along with these skills, an employee also needs to be very time conscious and also he has to fulfill his social responsibilities.
The most important quality an employee should possess is gratefulness.  Because if an employee doesn’t show gratefulness to the company, then he is not loyal to the company. To work for a company or an organization an employee has to be very loyal and loyalty comes from gratitude.
If we have these qualities and a virtue of perseverance, then the dream job is waiting for us. We need to nurture these qualities to have a better future. Hope we all can get our dream job and do better things for the country.
